Stop At: Manezh Square, Near Red Square, Moscow 613310 Russia

After meeting your expert guide at your hotel, you will drive to the center of truly iconic and global city of Moscow.

Your 4-hour tour starts from a famous Moscow attraction – the elegant Manezhnaya square (Kutafya Tower), a large pedestrian open space with beautiful fountains and fairy-tale monuments.

The name of the Manezh Square comes from building an arena, built in 1817 in honor of the fifth anniversary of Russia’s victory in the Patriotic War of 1812. It is worth saying that the name «Manezh» appeared only in 1937 after the demolition of standing in this place shopping areas of buildings, separated by a two-lane – patchwork and insatiable. Prior to that, the area was densely built up. In the nineties of the twentieth century under the Manege Square was built a large underground shopping complex «Ryad».

Pass the bronze plaque marking Kilometre Zero, situated directly in front of Resurrection Gate, and listen to a legend that your wish might come true if you make it standing in the center of the plaque and throw a coin over your shoulder.

Next visit will be the Red Square (Krasnaya ploshchad), a highlight of any trip to Moscow. As you stroll around this must-see square, you’ll see St. Basil’s Cathedral with its colorful façade, the Kremlin, GUM Department Store and State Historical Museum. There is even the ‘resting place’ of Lenin, Russia’s first communist leader (Lenin’s Mausoleum). It was here that Russia’s famous military parades took place during World War II and the cold war later.

Next, you will walk to the historical Moskvoretskaya Street to your coach. Your driver will bring you and your guide to Novodevichy (New Maiden) Convent, peaceful retreat from the bustling city of Moscow. Enjoy a half-an-hour walk around the beautiful 17th-century convent complex with several amazing churches. The most important is the huge five-domed Tower and Cathedral of the Virgin of Smolensk which contains a spectacular iconostasis with 84 wooden columns and icons dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries.

Stop At: Sparrow Hills (Vorobyovy Gory), Moscow 119270 Russia

You will then return to your coach and travel to the famous Sparrow Hills (Vorobyovy Gory), which serves as an excellent observation spot!

The park was named after the village of Vorobiyovo, which existed here in the Middle Ages. At the end of the 15th century, Princess Sophia Vitovtovna, daughter of Grand Duke of Lithuania Vitovt and wife of Grand Duke of Moscow Vasily I, bought the village of Vorobievo from an Orthodox priest, nicknamed Sparrow. According to one version, it is to him that Sparrow owes his name. After the sale, the village became first the grand-ducal, and then the royal summer residence. Since the end of the 19th century, Sparrow Hills is a popular summer residence. In the years 1924-1991, Sparrow Hills were called Lenin Hills in honor of Lenin. The name of the area «Lenin Hills» was unofficial, it was introduced into use by Lazar Kaganovich. It was common: officially the Sparrow Hills always remained the Sparrow Hills. Today, this park offers the most magnificent and beautiful view of Moscow – it’s not for nothing that the capital’s most famous observation deck is located here.

Stop At: Memorial Mosque On Poklonnaya Hill, Minskaya St., 2B Metro Park Pobedy, Moscow 121096 Russia

Travel to the historic area known as Poklonnaya Hill, one of the highest spots in Moscow, which offers a beautiful panoramic view.

Poklonnaya (Bow) Hill is a notable place, connected with the various historical events in Russia. Once, this gently sloping hill was located far outside Moscow, and from its summit the spectacular view of the city opened. Travelers stopped there to have look at Moscow and bow to her: hence the name of the hill. It was on Poklonnaya Hill that Napoleon vainly waited for the keys to Moscow; it was there that the soldiers went to the front to defend the Motherland during WWII.

That is why Poklonnaya Hill became the symbol of Russia’s victory over foreign aggressors. In connection with the past events the large memorial dedicated to the Victory in Great Patriotic War of 1941 – 1945 with a park, monuments, museums, and churches was created.

Only on February 23, 1958 Poklonnaya Hill received the memorial sign saying “There will be erected the monument in the honor of the Soviet people’s victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”; later the Victory Park was planted there.

Next stop will be the enchanting Moscow International Business Center Moscow-City which prides one of the tallest buildings in Europe.

Stop At: Old Arbat (Stary Arbat), Arbat Ulitsa Arbatskaya Metro, Moscow Russia

Then follow to the New Arbat (Novy Arbat) street and leave your car to have a walk along the picturesque pedestrian Old Arbat (Stary Arbat) street, an eclectic art market filled with portrait painters, soapbox poets, and street musicians, with more than a few side-walk cafés and souvenir stands.

Stop At: Foreign Affairs Ministry, ul Arbat, 55/32 Metro Smolenskaya, Moscow Russia

Walk to the Sadovoe Koltso, an attractive circular ring road avenue. Stroll around the beautiful building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and meet your driver there.

At the end of your journey the guide will give you advice about other places worth visiting on your own. You will be dropped off at your hotel.
