The “Bunker-42” on Taganka is an anti-nuclear underground facility. It was built in the 50s of the last century. The object occupies 7,000 sq.m. and located at a depth of 65 meter under Taganka Square.
The Cold War Museum “Bunker 42” offers excursions about historical nuclear confrontation between two superpowers, a Soviet Union and the United States. You will learn how bunker’s construction is protected from the damaging factors of nuclear explosion. You will realize how the facility could protect from all the factors of atomic explosion and feel the seriousness of nuclear world war risk.
