A visit to a local’s house can give you a great idea how common people live in Moscow. I’d like to invite you to see a Soviet flat built in the 1950s in one of residential areas of Russia’s capital. The host is an art historian and speaks fluent English. She will be happy to tell you about her locality and welcome you in her flat, which still recreates the atmosphere of the Soviet time. Kitchen has always been the heart of a Russian flat. It is the place where Russians gather together, receive guests, drink tea and exchange ideas during long winter evenings. You will try traditional Russian pies and pancakes. Matryoshka-painting or cooking classes can be arranged upon your request.
