Moscow is where it all starts and ends in Russia. Some say there is no other capital in the world like Moscow. The cultural exhibitions and landmarks are endless while the buzzing tempo of this metropolis will take you for a ride.

This day is dedicated to the exploration of the most outstanding Moscow icons: the Kremlin and the heart of Moscow – the Red Square, Novodevichy Convent and Church of the Ascension in Kolomenskoye. All three are Moscow UNESCO Heritage Sites.

Part of the tour is by private car / minivan and 2nd part is a Walking tour (Kremlin and Red Square). Transportation costs are included.

Stop At: Red Square, Moscow 109012 Russia

Red Square is one of the most famous Russia’s places of interest. It is located right in the heart of Moscow. Many significant buildings surround Red Square: the Kremlin, Lenin’s Mausoleum, Saint Basil’s Cathedral, GUM trading house and Kazan Cathedral there. The State Historical Museum is also located in the square.

A world-famous landmark of Moscow. In 1990, it became part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Stop At: Lenin’s Mausoleum, Red Square, Moscow 613310 Russia

Lenin’s Mausoleum is a Soviet monument in which the mummified remains of Vladimir Lenin, the main leader of the October Revolution in 1917 and the first Soviet President, are preserved.

Stop At: Kremlin Walls and Towers, Red Square, Moscow 613310 Russia

The steeple-roofed towers of the Moscow Kremlin and its walls with swallow-tailed crenellations are irreplaceable elements of Moscow’s panoramic metropolis. The settlement where the Kremlin is now dates back to ancient times.

There are 20 towers in Kremlin and we will see the most significant ones.

The Moscow Kremlin is one of the biggest architectural and urban development ensembles in the world.It resembles an irregular triangle. Walls’ height, narrow embrasures, places for staying during the fight and distances between the towers—all these tell us that the Kremlin is the fortress in the first place. But once you enter the Kremlin the feeling changes. The territory of 27,5 hectare houses wide squares and beautiful gardens, majestic palaces and plenty of churches. The whole city in the city, which had been forming for many centuries, today preserves monuments of Russian architecture of the 14th – 20th centuries. The cathedrals, churches, administrative buildings form the ensemble of Cathedral, Ivanovskaya, Senatskaya, Dvortsovaya and Troitskaya Squares, as well as Spasskaya, Borovitskaya, and Dvortsovaya Streets in the Kremlin. The ancient and the new squares form an architectural ensemble, but each component has its own history and unique architectural appearance.

Alexander Garden was one of the first urban public parks in Moscow. The park comprises three separate gardens, which stretch along all the length of the western Kremlin wall for 865 metres (2,838 ft)

Stop At: Tomb of Unknown Soldier, Aleksandrovskiy Sad, Moscow 125009 Russia

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of Moscow is a memorial dedicated to the Soviet soldiers who fell during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). The remains of the unknown soldier, killed in the Battle of Moscow and initially buried in a mass grave at Zelenograd, were relocated to the Kremlin Wall in December of 1966. In front of the tomb is a Eternal Flame with underneath the inscription: «Your name is unknown, your deed is immortal» . To the right of the memorial is a grantie wall with the following inscription: «1941 – To Those Who Have Fallen For The Motherland – 1945»

The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour of Moscow is the most important cathedral in Moscow, even before the Cathedral of St. Basil, with a unique and bizarre history that dates back to the nineteenth century and still continues to this day. In addition, it is the highest orthodox temple in the world.

Unlike other Moscow cloisters, it has remained virtually intact since the 17th century. In 2004, it was proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Former royal estate. It’s a large, 390-hectare museum reserve where you can spend many hours simply wandering around enjoying the spirit of Medieval Rus.
